About the author
Miranda Slattery grew up in San Francisco. On weekends, the family went hiking on Mt. Tamalpais. In the summer, the family went backpacking in the Sierra Nevada. She started backpacking at age four and climbed Half Dome as a teenager (the easy side). She did not realize until years later that some families go to Disneyland for vacations.
Miranda doesn't backpack much these days, but when she does, you can be sure she will do it the Easy Way.
